About the course

New and proposed changes to Australian state WHS laws mean that employers should look to become more proactive in managing psychosocial hazards in the workplace

Under existing WHS laws, employers have a duty of care to ensure the physical and mental health and safety of their employees. Recent changes to Model WHS regulations, NSW WHS laws, and proposed Victorian WHS amendments impose obligations on employers to manage and guard against psychosocial hazards in the workplace.

As psychological health and safety in the workplace becomes an important consideration for businesses large and small, our Psychological Health and Safety at Work training course will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of ISO 45003.

ISO 45003:2021 is a child standard of ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems; where ISO 45001 focuses overall management of health and safety risks across an organisation, ISO 45003 focuses on psychological health and safety of staff within the workplace to and provides guidelines for managing the broad range of psychological health and safety risks within the OH&S management system.

This 2-day course will provide a practical understanding of ISO 45003:2021 – Psychological health and safety at work — Guidelines for managing psychosocial risk including the principles of psychological health and safety risk, workplace risk factors, planning to address risks and opportunities, and much more.

This course has the equivalent of 16 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points.
