RTP offers public and in-house auditor training, delivered face-to-face and virtually. Recognition of prior learning is also available. Public courses are delivered in major Australian centres including Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney, as well as Auckland, New Zealand.

How do I become a certified auditor?

To begin the certification process, applicants generally need to hold Exemplar Global AU, along with a relevant scheme such as Exemplar Global QM, EM or OH 45001. Once the appropriate units are gained, applicants can begin the certification process with Exemplar Global.

What courses does RTP offer?

RTP offers internationally recognised Exemplar Global courses and nationally recognised training in lead auditing, risk management and operational resilience. Shorter lead auditor courses are available for quality, OH&S, environmental, food safety and information security management systems.

ISO, the International Organization for Standardization, is an independent, non-governmental organisation that develops voluntary international standards. Common ISO management system standards include ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, ISO 45001, ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO 22301.

What is nationally recognised training?

Nationally recognised training in Australia refers to vocational education and training delivered by Registered Training Organisations and recognised across all states and territories. It meets Australian Qualifications Framework standards and includes qualifications listed on training.gov.au.

What ways are there to report concerns or request appeals?

RTP has a complaints and appeals policy and procedure. Students are encouraged to speak with their facilitator first. If reassessment is required, this can be arranged at no additional cost, and further support may include attending a second public training course at no additional cost.

Who are Exemplar Global?

Exemplar Global is a global organisation that certifies individuals and training providers. Its personnel certification includes auditors, engineers, technicians and consultants, while training providers are third-party certified for the courses they deliver.

Who needs to be certified?

People seeking recognition of their knowledge, skills and qualifications may need personal certification. Certification is often a prerequisite for employment in auditing and inspection industries and provides assurance to employers and customers.

Why do people get certified?

People get certified as auditors or lead auditors to have their auditing knowledge and skills formally recognised at a higher level.

How far in advance do I have to book to secure my place?

Where places are available, RTP can take enrolments up until the working day before training starts. However, booking in advance is recommended to secure your place. RTP does not cancel scheduled courses.

I live in a regional area and find it difficult to travel to courses. What are my options?

RTP offers public face-to-face and virtual training in major Australian cities. If travel is difficult, virtual public courses are available. For groups of at least six people, RTP may also deliver training at your location.

Yes, lunch, morning tea and refreshments are provided at RTP face-to-face public courses. Attendees should advise RTP of any dietary requirements, and RTP will do its best to accommodate them.

Is the training internationally recognised?

Yes, RTP courses are certified by Exemplar Global, meaning the qualifications are recognised internationally.

Is the training nationally recognised?

RTP offers nationally recognised training units of competency. These units are delivered as part of its nationally recognised training options.

Is there any pre-course reading material?

There is no requirement to complete any pre-reading before RTP courses.

What do I need to bring?

RTP provides everything needed for training, including training materials, stationery, refreshments, morning tea and lunch. Training is conducted in modern, easily accessible facilities.

Is on-site training available?

Yes, RTP can train auditors at your premises. If a suitable room is not available, RTP can help arrange a local venue.

Do I have to hand in anything after the course?

For some courses, all work and assessment are completed during course time. For nationally recognised training units and the BSBSS00128 Lead Auditor Skill Set, additional post-course assessment must be completed and submitted to RTP for review.

How long will it take to complete the assessment?

Most assessment is completed during course time for some courses. For nationally recognised training units and the BSBSS00128 Lead Auditor Skill Set, learners are expected to take no longer than 25 hours in total to complete all additional assessment items.

Do the Exemplar Global competency units expire?

Exemplar Global competency units remain current as long as the international standard they align with remains unchanged, which is usually around seven years. When a standard is updated, a short transition course is developed.

How long until I get my certificate?

Certificates are issued promptly after course completion, provided relevant assessment items have been completed and full payment has been received. Certificates are emailed, and physical copies can be posted on request.

Will I get a certificate?

Yes. Exemplar Global courses provide a Certificate of Attainment, while nationally recognised training courses provide a Statement of Attainment once the relevant units and assessment requirements are successfully completed.

No. Once RTP has scheduled a course, it runs. This provides certainty for people who need confidence in their training bookings.

I am not able to attend the training course that I enrolled for, can I send someone else in my place?

Yes, enrolments can be transferred to another attendee. Contact RTP on 1300 95 96 92 or email hello@risktrainingprofessionals.com to arrange the transfer.

I cannot attend the course I enrolled in. What are my options?

If you cannot attend, you can transfer your enrolment to another date, send another attendee in your place, or cancel your enrolment. Cancellation fees may apply depending on the situation.
